History – TruTemp Equipment

Since 1964, TruTemp Equipment has provided the southwest with continuous sales excellence and support as a wholesale distributor of commercial food equipment. Our history reaches back to its beginning as a refrigeration service company in an old converted gas station on the west side of Phoenix. After several moves to increase space for growing manufacturer lines, it now sits in a new 34,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility just south of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.

TruTemp was acquired in 2002 by Tim McGillicuddy, Owner/General Manager. He expanded its physical space along with growing its customer base in the toughest of economies. Under strong leadership and solid business ethics, TruTemp reached new goals: they added refrigeration lines along with new manufacturers such as True. They built a team of seasoned Sales professionals and a knowledgeable Parts Department.

In June of 2015, TruTemp moved to a larger 34,000 sq.ft. warehouse and Home Office in Phoenix to better serve its customers by housing the highest inventory levels in the southwest region. The TruTemp team looks forward to the ongoing growth by providing top-notch products from the best manufacturers and the best customer service.
